My Revised Short Film Proposal

Title -
Able or Eclair (haven't quite decided)

Genre -
drama / coming of age
Narrative -
non-linear, the tale of a young woman who battles herself due to the opinions of others.

Basic Plot - 
My protagonist is a 17 year old girl with learning difficulties. The short will focus on how her environment affects the opinion of herself and how she deals with issues that affect her self-esteem. For example, name calling, political views of those seen to be less able, her view of the world and it purposefully  isolates her.
It later develops onto how her age has helped her deal with social anxieties, and forming friendships (hence eclairs - she hands the new friend a sweet) and how they allowed her to flourish and encourage to go out and do more in life.

Ideas - 
(due to a speech impediment there will be subtitles)

Idea for final shot is her sitting and talking to the camera almost documentary like, ends with her smiling.

forming friendships over a common love, eclairs (it will be slightly humorous due to her name)

What will occur -

The narrative will follow her going to meet her friend in the first place they really became mates. throughout her journey there will be flash backs and cuts to other scenes upon which reflect what she saying to the camera and stylistic representations.
