The Initial Proposal for my Short Film.

Genre - Family/Adventure/Fantasy

Title: (Still to be considered)

Narrative:
A tale of a young boy discovering the impact of his actions to the environment.

Basic Plot:
It will begin with scenes of wasteful acts such as throwing litter on the floor, food wasteage, water wasteage, non-recycling etc. A young boy sees this and is surrounded by this kind of behaviour. When he goes into the woods one day he begins to further disrupt the environment as he copies the previously seen behaviours (as for up until now he has respected his environment). He sees what he presumes to be a stray dog and follows it to a clearing. There is a single tree - shinto shrine aspects such as the string with papers warding off evil spirits etc - and thats where he encounters the anthropomorphised dog.
(the shot can be from left hand side of the tree pan around and to the right where it is revealed the dog now looks human)
It teaches the boy about needing to respect the environment. the message then sticks with the boy as he the audience is then shown how he changes his ways and becomes successful in doing so, even if its small-scale he attempts to help the world be a better place.

Basic Cast List so far:

A young boy
A young adult form the age of 17-22
A mother
A small group of young males (approx. 3)
